Qazigund (Kulgam) Sep 25: Police on Thursday arrested a drug peddler in Kulgam and recovered contraband substance from his possession at Bonigam area of Qazigund.
A police official told that a police team from Police station Qazigund led by PSI Mohd Imran during patrolling at Bonigam crossing noticed that a suspicious person who was on the way from chowgam towards NHW 44 after seeing the police party tried to flee from the spot but the alert police party tactfully apprehend the said person.
“During his personal search 4.08gm of Heroin like substance was recovered from his possession”. he said.The arrested drug peddler has been identified as Waseem Ahmad Reshi son of Gh Rasool Reshi a resident of Berigam.Accordingly, a case has been registered under FIR No 188/2015 US 8/21 NDPS stands registered and investigations set into the motion.
