Udhampur, November 07:During patrolling duty at Basht area, a police party of Police Station Chenani led by SHO PS Chenani intercepted one person identified as Suraj Singh S/o Kaka Ram R/o Margana, Tehsil Chenani, District Udhampur, who was moving from Basht towards Chenani.
During his personal search, 7.84 grams of heroin were recovered from his possession. In this connection, Case FIR No. 112/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Chenani and investigation has been initiated.
With this arrests, the total number of drug peddlers arrested by Udhampur Police during the current year has reached 161 reaffirming its commitment towards a drug-free Udhampur.
