DRDO’s R&DE(E) Pune Celebrates Raising Day: Dr. Samir V. Kamat Highlights Breakthrough Technologies
PUNE, MARCH 08: Research & Development Establishment (Engineers), a premier laboratory of the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), celebrated its Raising Day today with a high-profile ceremony attended by Dr. Samir V. Kamat, Secretary DD R&D and Chairman DRDO.
The event, which also hosted Prof. (Dr.) Prateek Kishore, DS & DG (ACE), alongside various cluster directors, served as a platform to showcase the laboratory’s technological evolution, from legacy engineering systems to cutting-edge, state-of-the-art defense technologies that continue to bolster the Indian Armed Forces.
In a significant move toward standardized excellence and indigenous manufacturing, the laboratory released new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the design of critical systems.
Furthermore, the celebration underscored the “Atmanirbhar Bharat” initiative as Licensing Agreements for Transfer of Technology (ToT) were officially handed over to industry partners, ensuring that R&DE(E)’s innovative designs are successfully transitioned into large-scale production for national security.
