NEW DELHI, Feb 11, 2026 — In a major step toward enhancing national defense capabilities, the Defence Institute of Physiology and Allied Sciences (DIPAS), a premier laboratory under the DRDO, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the CSIR-Central Scientific Instruments Organisation (CSIR-CSIO). This strategic alliance is designed to foster collaborative research, technology development, and resource sharing, specifically focused on improving human sustenance and operational performance in the world’s most hostile terrains.
The partnership aims to combine the physiological expertise of DIPAS with the precision instrumentation capabilities of CSIR-CSIO to create next-generation solutions. Key areas of innovation include the design of high-altitude survival instruments, systems for human performance restoration, and the development of off-grid energy systems.
Additionally, the collaboration will address environmental sustainability by creating advanced waste management solutions tailored for challenging and remote geographical regions.
By leveraging these complementary strengths, both organizations seek to ensure that personnel stationed in extreme environments are equipped with the most advanced tools for safety and efficiency.
