New Delhi 27 December :- In a significant move to enhance the “Ease of Living” for retiring officials, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State for Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions, is set to inaugurate the 58th Pre-Retirement Counseling (PRC) Workshop on December 29, 2025, in Pune, Maharashtra. Organized by the Department of Pension & Pensioners’ Welfare (DoPPW), this initiative aligns with the Prime Minister’s vision of streamlining pension policies and digitizing administrative processes. The workshop aims to support approximately 350 central government employees currently stationed across Maharashtra who are scheduled to retire within the next year, ensuring they transition into post-service life with financial and administrative clarity.
The comprehensive program will feature specialized sessions on critical retirement topics, including the BHAVISHYA portal, Integrated Pensioners Portal, Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) benefits, and the Digital Life Certificate. Attendees will also receive guidance on family pensions, investment strategies, and grievance redressal through CPENGRAMS. Beyond the counseling for active employees, the event will include a Pensioners’ Awareness Program and the 11th Bankers’ Awareness Program, designed to synchronize the efforts of pension-disbursing banks with the latest government regulations and procedural updates.
Complementing the technical sessions, Dr. Jitendra Singh will also open an exhibition of Pension Disbursing Banks. This exhibition serves as a one-stop hub where multiple banking institutions will provide hands-on assistance regarding the opening of pension accounts and the effective investment of retirement corpuses. By bringing together policymakers, financial institutions, and retirees, the event underscores the government’s commitment to a seamless, dignified, and digitally-empowered retirement process for India’s public servants.
