Divisional Commissioner Kashmir Presides Over Republic Day Full Dress Rehearsal at Bakshi Stadium

SRINAGAR, J&K | JANUARY 24, 2026 – Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Anshul Garg, today led the final full dress rehearsal for the 77th Republic Day celebrations at Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar.

During the ceremony, the Divisional Commissioner unfurled the National Flag and took the salute from diverse parade contingents, including the Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF, NCC cadets, and local students. The event also featured a series of vibrant cultural performances and patriotic songs aimed at fostering national pride.

Prior to the stadium events, Garg, accompanied by IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar Birdi and other senior officials, paid floral tributes to fallen soldiers at the Balidan Stambh.Addressing the gathering, the Divisional Commissioner extended warm Republic Day greetings and confirmed that all administrative and security arrangements are in place for a grand celebration.

He lauded the dedication of the parade participants and acknowledged the relentless efforts of various departments in overcoming weather-related challenges to prepare the venue.

Highlighting the importance of public participation, Garg invited the people of Srinagar and the wider Valley to attend the main event on January 26, requesting all attendees to be seated by 8:30 AM to ensure a smooth and dignified ceremony.
