Udhampur 17 November :- Preeti Khajuria helped three flood-affected families in Pathi Village and 100 in Bharat Nagar wno 5 udhampur .They hadn’t received any relief even after more than three months. They then sought help from Preeti Khajuria.
During the rainy season, the houses of some poor families in Pathi Village were completely destroyed, and they were living in other people’s homes. She provided them shelter home material with to build new homes, which will be completed soon.
The people of Bharat Nagar explained that they live on state land and receive no government assistance. Preeti Khajuria listened to the people’s problems and took the initiative to help them, providing relief materials to the 100 families who had received nothing, their homes destroyed, and were living on rags. Relief materials included iron tin sheets for 6 houses so that they could repair their roofs.
Besides this, they also provided kit blankets,ration consisting of rice, flour, pulses and warm coats. On this occasion, Preeti Khajuria, District Chairperson of Inner Wheel District 307, said, “Service to humanity is social service, and social service is service to the nation.
Just as the inner wheel strengthens the outer wheel, Inner Wheel is making a significant contribution to society through social work. In this time of disaster, Inner Wheel District 307 is striving to provide some support to the affected families. Local residents present shared their experiences, describing how they are living in this cold and the difficulties they will face as the cold intensifies.
Preeti Khajuria, District Chairperson of Inner Wheel District 307, stated that she has been personally distributing relief materials to needy families in rain-affected areas, listening to their experiences.
