Director Highways Harleen Kaur Reviews National Highway Projects in Jammu
JAMMU, January 06, 2026: Director Highways for the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRT&H), Harleen Kaur, chaired a high-level review meeting today at the NHIDCL office to evaluate the progress of ongoing National Highway projects.
The session, which included senior officials from the National Highways & Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (NHIDCL), the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI), and MoRT&H, focused on the physical and financial health of key infrastructure developments. Kaur conducted a detailed assessment of project timelines and identified critical implementation hurdles currently impacting the pace of construction across the region.
During the meeting, Kaur emphasized that meeting project deadlines must go hand-in-hand with strict adherence to established quality standards. She directed officials to resolve existing bottlenecks expeditiously and called for enhanced coordination between various government agencies to ensure the smooth execution of work.
To conclude the review, the Director Highways ordered the strengthening of monitoring mechanisms and the acceleration of site activities, underscoring that the timely completion of these highways is vital for improving regional connectivity and public convenience.
