Director Health Services Jammu Reviews Infrastructure and Care at CHC Thathri in Doda
DODA, February 16: In a significant move to bolster healthcare delivery in remote regions, the Director of Health Services Jammu (DHSJ), Dr. Abdul Hamid Zargar, conducted an extensive inspection of the Community Health Centre (CHC) Thathri in District Doda.
The visit aimed to assess the current infrastructure and evaluate the quality of medical services being provided to the local population.
During the comprehensive tour, Dr. Zargar inspected critical sections of the facility, including the OPD, IPD wards, Labour Room, Newborn Care Corner, and the Emergency Unit, while also reviewing essential records such as drug availability, duty rosters, and biomedical waste management protocols.
To ensure transparency and patient satisfaction, the Director interacted directly with patients and their attendants to gather first-hand feedback on staff behavior, waiting times, and the accessibility of medicines.
Emphasizing the need for punctuality and discipline, Dr. Zargar directed the hospital administration to maintain a patient-friendly environment and conduct regular internal reviews to ensure accountability.
While acknowledging the challenges posed by the region’s difficult geographical terrain, he lauded the dedication of the doctors and paramedical staff. The visit concluded with a firm directive for sustained monitoring to ensure that affordable and quality healthcare remains accessible to the residents of Thathri and its surrounding underserved areas.
