Dignified Return of Kashmiri Pandits a Top Priority: LG Manoj Sinha Releases ‘Kashmir-Nativity Regained’
JAMMU, Feb 19, 2026 – Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha released Professor Ashok Kaul’s poignant book, “Kashmir-Nativity Regained,” which meticulously documents the Kashmiri Pandit exodus and the profound trauma of being uprooted from ancestral roots.
During the event, Manoj Sinha emphasized that the return of the Kashmiri Pandit community with full dignity and security remains a primary commitment of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Reflecting on the transformation of Jammu and Kashmir since 2019, the Lieutenant Governor stated that the sinister plots of adversaries to destroy the region’s destiny have been dismantled, paving the way for the restoration of its ancient glory and accelerated development.
He lauded the book for shattering decades of silence surrounding the 1989-90 atrocities and praised the indomitable spirit of the displaced community for preserving their culture and spirituality despite immense adversity.
Highlighting government initiatives like the 2021 migrant web portal for property recovery, Manoj Sinha asserted that the abolition of Article 370 has instilled newfound faith in the younger generation to reclaim their heritage without fear.
He concluded by reiterating that the terror ecosystem’s attempt to bury the truth has failed, and the administration remains dedicated to ensuring justice for all victims of terror while working toward a future entirely free from the scourge of terrorism.
