Kathua/ Billawar 17 December :- In view of the prevailing security scenario, Shiv Kumar, IPS, DIG JSK Range, along with Mohita Sharma, IPS, SSP Kathua, SSP Samba Varinder Manhas, DySP Arjun Singh Chib, SP Ops Billawar, Mukund, IPS, SP Ops Kathua, CO CRPF, SDPO Billawar and SHO Billawar, reviewed the ongoing operational preparedness in the Billawar area of Kathua district.
The review was conducted in the backdrop of the recent firing incident reported from the Soan area of district Udhampur. The DIG also visited Kamla Top, Billawar, to assess ground-level security arrangements.During the review, the DIG JSK Range emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and security across the region.
He directed all officers to remain extra vigilant and proactive in their respective areas of responsibility.Highlighting the need for robust coordination among various security agencies, the DIG stressed that effective inter-agency cooperation is crucial to address any potential security challenges in the future.
Shiv Kumar, IPS, reviewed the deployment of forces and directed that additional manpower be mobilized in sensitive and vulnerable areas to prevent any untoward incidents. He underlined the significance of intelligence gathering and timely sharing of information to effectively counter security threats. The DIG also reviewed the performance of jawans deployed on the ground and boosted their morale.
The DIG JSK Range further reviewed the overall law and order situation and assessed the readiness of the police force in terms of manpower and resources. He instructed officers to maintain high visibility, intensify patrolling and security checks, and remain alert at all times.
SSP Kathua briefed the DIG about the current security scenario and the measures taken to maintain peace and law and order in the Billawar area. During the visit, the DIG also held a joint meeting with Army authorities, assuring them that the Jammu and Kashmir Police will continue to work in close coordination with all security forces to maintain peace and stability in the region.
