Doda, January 31, 2026: Director Health Services Jammu (DHSJ), Abdul Hamid Zargar, conducted a comprehensive review of healthcare delivery and infrastructure during a visit to the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Assar today. The inspection focused on the effective implementation of national health programmes and the strengthening of primary care for the local population. Zargar toured various critical sections, including the Outpatient Department (OPD), labor room, pharmacy, and diagnostic units.
During the assessment, he scrutinized the stock levels of essential medicines and the functionality of medical equipment, emphasizing that high standards of cleanliness and strict adherence to biomedical waste management protocols are non-negotiable for public safety.
While interacting with medical officers and paramedical staff, the Director stressed the importance of punctuality, patient-friendly conduct, and accurate record maintenance. He issued specific directions to streamline emergency preparedness and ensure that critical cases are referred to higher centers without delay.
Beyond the facility’s internal operations, Zargar reviewed community outreach initiatives, urging staff to optimize available resources to increase awareness of public health schemes.
Concerned officers were instructed to immediately address any operational gaps identified during the inspection to ensure uninterrupted and high-quality healthcare services at PHC Assar.
