NAGROTA, January 06, 2026: In a powerful tribute to the 10th nationwide Veterans’ Day, Day 2 of the Dhruva Motorcycle Rally commenced with a solemn wreath-laying ceremony at the Nagrota War Memorial. The event, organized by the Press Information Bureau (Defence Wing), served as a poignant reminder of the supreme sacrifices made by India’s fallen heroes.
Senior Army veterans, civil dignitaries, and serving personnel gathered to pay their respects and ceremonially receive the Mashal, a flame symbolizing the eternal glory and indomitable spirit of the Indian Armed Forces.
The atmosphere was one of profound gratitude, reflecting the nation’s deep-rooted respect for its military heritage.The second leg of the rally was officially flagged off from the Nagrota Military Station by Devyani Rana, MLA Nagrota.
As the convoy continued its journey through the Jammu region, it acted as a moving symbol of the Indian Army’s commitment to nation-building and the continued welfare of its ex-servicemen. Throughout the day, the rally team visited various war memorials and engaged in meaningful interactions with local communities.

As the bikers traversed the challenging landscapes south of the Pir Panjal range, these mobile medical units provided essential healthcare services to veterans and their families in remote areas. Outreach activities included health screenings, preventive care, and the distribution of medicines.
In a gesture of dedicated care, blood pressure monitoring devices were also provided to senior veterans, highlighting the Army’s focus on the dignity and long-term well-being of its retired personnel.
