PITHORAGARH, Feb 11, 2026 — Strengthening the nation’s defense posture in high-altitude regions, the Director General of the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Sanjay Singhal (IPS), conducted a comprehensive visit to the forward areas of the Kumaon Sector today.
Operating under the aegis of the Indian Army’s Panchshul Brigade, the visit served as a critical assessment of the prevailing security situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) and the International Border (IB). DG Singhal was briefed extensively on current operational preparedness and the strategic measures in place to counter emerging security threats through a unified defense framework.
