DG BSF Praveen Kumar Reviews Operational Preparedness During Two-Day Punjab Frontier Visit
Punjab April 13,2026 :- Director General of the Border Security Force (BSF), Praveen Kumar, IPS, concluded a comprehensive two-day operational visit to the Punjab Frontier on April 11–12, 2026.
During his tour, the DG conducted high-level reviews of the prevailing security situation and engaged directly with commanders and troops stationed along the front lines.
The visit focused on auditing the BSF’s combat readiness and ensuring that the strategic infrastructure along the international border remains robust against evolving cross-border threats.
In a move highlighting the force’s shift toward modernized surveillance, DG Praveen Kumar inspected the BSF Artillery HQ & Training Centre in Faridkot and the specialized Drone Forensic Laboratory in Amritsar.
By prioritizing these technical hubs, the DG underscored the critical role of technology-driven border management in detecting and neutralizing aerial incursions. He urged field formations to maintain a pro-active stance, emphasizing that staying ahead of emerging challenges requires constant adaptation and the seamless integration of forensic intelligence into daily operations
