DG BSF Praveen Kumar Reviews LoC Security and Operational Preparedness in Kashmir Frontier Visit

SRINAGAR, March 28, 2026 — Director General of the Border Security Force (BSF), Shri Praveen Kumar, IPS, concluded a comprehensive three-day visit to the BSF Kashmir Frontier to evaluate the prevailing security scenario and operational readiness along the Line of Control (LoC).

During the high-level visit spanning from March 26 to March 28, the DG conducted on-site inspections of forward posts, interacting closely with local commanders, officers, and troops stationed at the frontlines.

The visit underscored the BSF’s strategic focus on maintaining a robust defense posture in the region’s complex security environment.In a spirited Prahari Sammelan, DG Praveen Kumar addressed the welfare concerns of the personnel and lauded the troops for their exceptional professionalism and steadfast service.

He commended their ability to maintain high morale while operating under extreme weather conditions and across some of the world’s most challenging terrain, noting that their unwavering dedication serves as a pillar of national confidence.

Embodying the spirit of physical discipline and camaraderie, the DG also joined BSF commandos for their weekly 10-kilometer run in Srinagar, demonstrating a personal commitment to the endurance standards expected of the force.

The visit also focused on inter-agency synergy, as the DG held productive discussions with senior Indian Army officers and other key security stakeholders.

These interactions reaffirmed a collective commitment to seamless coordination and the strengthening of national security frameworks.
