Destressing Work in the Kashmir Valley Between the Pazhgom and Awantipora Section in View of Winter Weather

Jammu 22 October :- In view of the approaching winter weather, Indian Railways has decided to implement special measures to ensure the safety and smooth flow of railway tracks.

In this regard, the Divisional Railway Manager, Jammu has decided to carry out regular monitoring and destressing of railway tracks between the Pazhgom and Awantipora section from October 23 to October 28, 2025. Some trains in the Kashmir Valley have been short-terminated, short-originated, and extended.

These are as follows:Train No. 64652 (Baramulla – Sangaldan) has been short-terminated to Awantipora Railway Station. 74615 (Banihal – Baramulla) has been short-originated from Awantipora Railway Station.74614 (Baramulla – Banihal) This train service has been extended to Sangaldan Railway Station.

Passengers are requested to check the Indian Railways website, NTES, or dial 139 for accurate train information before commencing their journey.
