JAMMU, FEBRUARY 11, 2026: Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary officially inaugurated the “ODOP Fest and Buyer Seller Meet” at the Convention Centre in Jammu, a strategic initiative organized by the Jammu & Kashmir Trade Promotion Organisation (JKTPO) to showcase the region’s unique heritage under the theme “Connecting District Treasures to National Markets.”
Designed to bridge the gap between grassroots artisans and the national economy, the festival features 20 district-specific stalls and brings together approximately 25 major national buyers from cities like New Delhi, Bangalore, and Chandigarh to facilitate high-value B2B and B2C interactions.
During his address, the Deputy Chief Minister emphasized that the One District One Product (ODOP) and Districts as Export Hubs (DEH) initiatives are critical for strengthening entrepreneurship and creating sustainable livelihoods by integrating J&K’s products into global value chains.
Managing Director of JKTPO, Sudershan Kumar, highlighted that the event serves as a flagship platform for branding and export readiness, offering awareness sessions on government schemes to empower local producers.
This drive toward an “Atmanirbhar Bharat” and the “Vocal for Local” vision is set to expand further, with a subsequent Buyer Seller Meet already scheduled for the Kashmir region in March 2026.
