Deputy Chief Minister Launches Teaser for Dogri Film “Shah Shahni” in Jammu; Pledges Support for Regional Cinema
JAMMU, April 12, 2026 — Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary officially released the teaser for the upcoming Dogri feature film, “Shah Shahni,” during a ceremony at the Press Club Jammu today.
Addressing the gathering, Choudhary characterized cinema as a premier medium for the preservation and promotion of language, culture, and heritage.
He lauded the creative team, specifically Director Rajnesh Kumar Gupta, for their commitment to highlighting regional identity through the Dogri language and urged the public to actively support local productions to ensure linguistic traditions flourish among younger generations.
During the event, the Deputy Chief Minister reaffirmed the government’s commitment to revitalizing the film industry within Jammu and Kashmir.
