New Delhi 18 December :- The National Investigation Agency (NIA) has made a significant breakthrough in the Delhi Red Fort blast investigation with the arrest of Yasir Ahmad Dar, a key conspirator linked to the deadly car bombing that claimed 11 lives on November 10.
A resident of Shopian, Jammu and Kashmir, Dar was apprehended in New Delhi and is the ninth individual to be taken into custody in connection with case RC-21/2025/NIA/DLI.
Authorities have invoked stringent charges under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act (UAPA) and the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), as investigations reveal his deep-seated involvement in the terror plot that targeted the national capital’s historic landmark.
Detailed forensic and intelligence analysis indicates that Yasir Ahmad Dar was an active participant in the conspiracy, having reportedly sworn allegiance to carry out self-sacrificial operations.
The NIA’s probe established that he maintained close contact with the deceased perpetrator, Umar Un Nabi, and other key figures like Mufti Irfan. This arrest follows a series of high-intensity raids across Jammu and Kashmir, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana, including searches at the Al Falah University complex.
As the anti-terror agency works alongside central and state law enforcement, they continue to analyze seized digital devices and incriminating materials to fully dismantle the network responsible for the attack and prevent future security threats.
