Delhi Metro Advisory: Escalator Maintenance on Blue Line Stations

NEW DELHI, March 17, 2026 — The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has issued a passenger advisory regarding major overhauling work on selected escalators along the Blue Line to ensure enhanced safety and smoother commuter movement.

The essential maintenance is currently being carried out at Laxmi Nagar (Ground to Concourse level), Preet Vihar (Concourse to Platform-2), and RK Ashram Marg (Ground to Concourse level) stations.

During this period, these specific escalators will remain out of service to facilitate technical upgrades and safety checks.To minimize inconvenience and ensure a seamless travel experience, passengers—especially senior citizens and those with heavy luggage—are strongly advised to use the available lifts at these respective stations.

The DMRC emphasizes that these overhauling activities are part of its commitment to maintaining high safety standards and operational efficiency across the network.
