JAMMU, Jan 31: In a move to bolster the administrative framework of the Union Territory, Delhi Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena has officially relieved two senior IAS officers for their upcoming assignments in Jammu and Kashmir.
The transition involves Anjali Sehrawat, a 2013-batch officer who previously managed key portfolios as the Director of Higher Education and Director of Tourism, Transport, and Trade (TT&E) in the Delhi Government, and Kumar Abhishek, a 2016-batch officer who served as the Deputy Commissioner for Outer North Delhi.Official sources indicate that both officers have been formally cleared of their current responsibilities to facilitate a smooth transfer to the J&K administration.
This strategic movement of civil servants is part of an ongoing effort to streamline governance across Union Territories. Sehrawat and Abhishek are expected to report for their new duties in Jammu and Kashmir by the end of the first week of February, where they will take on fresh roles in the region’s executive setup.
