RAJOURI, FEBRUARY 07, 2026: In a significant move toward administrative transparency, Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Abhishek Sharma, conducted a comprehensive field visit to Manjakote and the border village of Saroola to supervise the ongoing digitization of Jamabandi (land records).
During the visit, revenue officials read out land records publicly in front of property owners, allowing residents to verify their data in real-time and ensuring the digital transition remains error-free.Addressing the local community, DC Sharma personally reviewed grievances and objections related to land documentation. He assured the public that all genuine concerns would be investigated and resolved within a strict timeframe.
To further expedite administrative clarity, the Deputy Commissioner visited the site of a long-standing land dispute, engaging directly with stakeholders to mediate and understand the ground realities of the conflict.
Emphasizing the importance of the digital shift, DC Sharma highlighted that the digitization of revenue records is a cornerstone for ensuring accountability and ease of access for every citizen. He issued stern directives to the revenue staff—including ACR Mohammad Jahangir Khan and Tehsildar Jazia Kazmi—to eliminate clerical discrepancies promptly.
The DC underscored that no resident should face the loss of land rights due to procedural lapses, urging officials to maintain the highest standards of sincerity and transparency in their service to the public.
