DC Minga Sherpa Reviews Restoration of Flood-Damaged Infrastructure in Udhampur; Calls for Early Completion

UDHAMPUR, April 04, 2026: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur, Minga Sherpa, convened a high-level meeting today to assess the progress of permanent restoration works following the infrastructure damages caused by the 2025 floods.

The review focused specifically on projects funded under the UT Capex Budget 2025–26, aiming to ensure that essential services and connectivity are fully reinstated for the public.

Accompanied by top officials, including the ADC and Chief Planning Officer, the Deputy Commissioner conducted a granular department-wise audit of ongoing repairs, emphasizing that the restoration of vital links remains a top priority for the district administration.

During the session, the DC examined division-wise assessments regarding damaged roads and bridges, as well as the current status of power and water infrastructure handled by the PWD, Jal Shakti, and JPDCL departments.

Highlighting the impact of these projects on daily life, DC Minga Sherpa issued strict directives to the executing agencies to expedite the pace of work. He underscored that there would be no compromise on the quality or timeline of the projects, ordering officers to ensure that all permanent restoration works are completed at the earliest to prevent further inconvenience to the residents of Udhampur.
