DC Jammu Inaugurate Ambulance Service at Baba Sundar Singh Gurdwara, Akhnoor

Jammu, Sept 22: Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Dr. Rakesh Minhas, IAS, today inaugurated an Ambulance Sewa at Baba Sundar Singh Gurdwara, Akhnoor, in the presence of a large gathering of devotees and dignitaries.

The facility has been initiated under the leadership of District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President, S. Ranvir Singh, with the objective of extending timely health services to the needy. The ambulance has been donated by Sarbat Da Bhalla Charitable Trust, which has been actively engaged in various welfare activities for the community.

Speaking on the occasion, S. Ranvir Singh, President of the District Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee, said, “This initiative is dedicated to the service of humanity. The ambulance will be available to all, irrespective of caste, creed or religion, so that timely medical care can reach those in need.”

A representative of the Sarbat Da Bhalla Charitable Trust added, “Our Trust believes in the principle of ‘Sarbat Da Bhalla’—the well-being of all. By donating this ambulance, we hope to contribute to saving lives and supporting the community in times of emergency.”

DC Jammu Dr. Rakesh Minhas, IAS, lauded the noble gesture of the Trust and the efforts of the Gurdwara Committee, stating that such initiatives greatly contribute towards strengthening community health support and saving precious lives.
