UDHAMPUR, SEPTEMBER 03: Deputy Commissioner Udhampur Saloni Rai today distributed relief material among the flood-affected families here at the DC Office Complex.
Additional Deputy Commissioner Prem Singh and Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Dr. Umesh Shan among other functionaries were also present.The DC interacted with the affected families, listened to their grievances and assured them of all possible assistance from the District Administration.
She expressed deep anguish over widespread destruction caused by the prolonged spell of heavy rains and flash floods in Udhampur district and elsewhere in the UT.The DC further informed that efforts are being made to expedite relief, rehabilitation and restore damaged infrastructure and provide temporary shelters to the displaced families.
