BARAMULLA, DECEMBER 08: Armed Forces Flag Day was observed with dignity and gratitude in Baramulla, with Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, leading the district in honouring the nation’s soldiers, veterans, and Veer Naris.
The observance reflected the district’s longstanding respect for the armed forces and its commitment to supporting their welfare through the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund.On the occasion, Zila Sainik Welfare Officer, Colonel Javed (Sena Medal), visited the office of the Deputy Commissioner along with Senior Wing NCC cadets and presented the Armed Forces Flag Day lapel pin to Minga Sherpa.
The gesture marked the district’s solidarity with the armed forces community and served as a reminder of the sacrifices made by service personnel.The Deputy Commissioner reaffirmed the administration’s support for the welfare of serving personnel, veterans, and their families. He also made a personal contribution to the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund, encouraging citizens to come forward in support of the cause.
Armed Forces Flag Day, observed annually across the country on 7th December since 1949, is dedicated to honouring the bravery and sacrifices of the Army, Navy, and Air Force and to mobilising resources for their rehabilitation and welfare.In a show of collective commitment, Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Syed Altaf Hussain, also participated in the observance and contributed to the fund, further strengthening the district’s message of respect and responsibility toward the families of martyrs and veterans.
