Srinagar 02 November :- In a heartwarming example of courage, perseverance, and community spirit, nine-year-old Maham Khan from Srinagar’s Qamarwari area successfully completed a half marathon in the city, inspired and quietly guided by officers of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).
According to officials, CRPF personnel, including DIG Sudhir Kumar and a lady Commandant, closely monitored Maham’s progress during the event, offering encouragement and moral support throughout the run. Their presence, officials said, helped the young runner maintain her confidence and composure all the way to the finish line.
Maham’s achievement has earned admiration from both the security forces and the local community, with many describing her as an emerging role model for Jammu and Kashmir’s children.
She has immense potential to go ahead and make Jammu and Kashmir proud,” a CRPF official said, commending her resolve.
Residents said Maham’s father has been her biggest source of motivation, nurturing her passion for fitness and sports from an early age
