CRPF DG G.P. Singh Felicitates Winners at 26th All India Police Shooting Competition; CRPF Bags Multiple Gold Medals
GURUGRAM, MARCH 30: The closing ceremony of the 26th All India Police Shooting Competition (AIPDM) 2025–26 concluded today at the Group Centre CRPF in Gurugram, marking a grand celebration of precision and professional excellence. G. P. Singh, Director General of the CRPF, attended as the Chief Guest to felicitate the winners and emphasize the critical role of marksmanship in operational efficiency.
The Assam Rifles emerged as the dominant force of the tournament, clinching the prestigious Overall Championship Trophy.
The Border Security Force (BSF) secured the runner-up position, while the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) finished as the second runner-up.
Among the state contingents, Tamil Nadu Police was honored as the Best State Team, followed by Odisha Police as the runner-up state team.
The competition also highlighted exceptional individual brilliance across various categories.
Constable Suraj Sonar of the Assam Rifles was named the Best Shot in the Revolver category, while the title of Best Shot for the Carbine went to Constable Aditya Kumar Sharma of the CRPF and Constable Ganesh Prasad of the BSF.
The host force, CRPF, recorded significant achievements with Inspector K. Shiva Kumar and Constable Aditya Kumar Sharma securing gold medals in the 50m and 25m Carbine/MP5 events respectively, while Constable Gaurav Kumar earned a silver medal in the 50m Pistol prone position.
In the team events, the CRPF triumphed in the Carbine/Stengun/MP5 category and stood as runners-up in the Pistol/Revolver category. The tournament served as a vital platform for Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and State Police teams to demonstrate their high professional standards and esprit de corps.
