CRPF 84 Bn Hosts Free Medical Camp for Remote Villagers in Ramban
RAMBAN, February 17, 2026 — In a significant community outreach effort, the 84 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), under the Jammu Sector, organized a comprehensive free medical camp today in the remote village of Karma, Ramban district.
The initiative, inaugurated by Commandant N. Ranbir Singh alongside senior officers, aimed to bridge the healthcare gap for underprivileged residents in high-altitude areas. Addressing the local gathering, Commandant Singh emphasized the CRPF’s commitment to nation-building and fostering strong ties with the community through civic action programs designed to support those with limited access to essential services.
The camp successfully provided medical assistance to over 300 beneficiaries, including women, children, and the elderly from Karma and surrounding hamlets. Under the expert care of Dr. Anu Gorke and Dr. Biranmol Singh, patients received free consultations, diagnostic tests such as ECGs and blood sugar monitoring, and necessary medications at no cost.
To ensure long-term support, the battalion also presented a fully equipped first-aid kit and basic medical supplies to a local health worker. The villagers expressed deep appreciation for the 84 Bn CRPF, noting that this was the first time such a vital healthcare event had been conducted in their secluded locality.
