JAMMU, January 26, 2026 – The 77th Republic Day was celebrated with intense patriotic fervor at the Crime Branch Jammu Headquarters in Channi Rama. Inspector General of Police (IGP) Crime J&K, Sujit Kumar Singh, unfurled the National Flag and took the Rashtriya salute during the ceremonial event.
He was joined by a high-ranking team of officers, including Faisal Qureshi (SSP EOW Jammu), Mohd Yousuf (SSP Fingerprint Bureau), Ramnish Gupta (SSP CICE J&K), Sanjay Parihar (SSP SCW Jammu), Anwar Ul Haq (SSP ANTF J&K), Noor Ul Hassan (Addl. SP Fingerprint Bureau), and Mohd Shafi (SO to IGP Crime). The ceremony highlighted the department’s unity and its steadfast commitment to the legal and constitutional framework of the nation.
During his address, Sujit Kumar Singh extended Republic Day greetings to the force and commended the Crime Branch personnel for their unwavering dedication and professionalism. He specifically praised the achievements of all Jammu-based units in their ongoing efforts to combat crime and uphold the rule of law.
The IGP also expressed his appreciation for the artistic and disciplined elements of the day, including an impressive rendition of the National Anthem and a beautifully crafted Tricolour-themed Rangoli. The celebration concluded with the distribution of sweets among the staff, reinforcing a sense of pride and collective mission within the specialized wing of the J&K Police.
