Cop arrested under NDPS Act in Udhampur; Heroin Recovered by Udhampur Police
Udhampur, 18 October :- In a major action against drug peddling, Udhampur Police has arrested another Police personnel involved in narcotics smuggling.
During routine traffic checking at Naka Bansa morh, one Maruti car bearing registration number JK12-5200 coming from Katra side towards Tikri side was stopped for checking. On stopping the vehicle, the driver disclosed his identity as Arjun Sharma S/o Saroj Rajan Sharma R/o H.No. 242, Ward No. 17, Omara Morh Udhampur A/p Jib, Rehambal, Udhampur.
During his personal search, one transparent polypack containing 9.63 grams of Heroin was recovered from his possession.
On this, a case FIR No. 170/2025 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act stands registered at Police Station Rehambal and investigation of the case has been taken up.
