JAMMU, DECEMBER 23: The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) has issued a strong condemnation following the barbaric lynching of a Hindu youth in Bangladesh, calling on the Modi government to take decisive action to protect minorities.
JKPCC Chief Spokesperson Ravinder Sharma expressed deep shock and anguish over the killing, which he alleged occurred with the connivance of local police, and characterized it as a deliberate move by the current administration in Bangladesh to empower radical forces.
Highlighting a growing threat to India’s security and communal harmony, Sharma questioned the Central Government’s apparent inaction as the regional situation deteriorates. The Congress party urged the Government of India to adopt a tough stance against radicalization in the neighboring country, citing a recent Parliamentary committee report regarding threats to Indian interests.
Invoking the leadership of Indira Gandhi, the JKPCC called for concrete measures to ensure national safety and the security of Hindus and other minorities in Bangladesh, asserting that the entire nation stands behind the government in addressing this crisis.
