CM Omar Abdullah Showcases Jammu & Kashmir as India’s Premier All-Season Destination at SATTE 2026

NEW DELHI, February 27, 2026 — Chief Minister Omar Abdullah made a high-profile appearance at the SATTE 2026 tourism exchange held at the Yashobhoomi Convention Centre in Dwarka, Delhi, to position Jammu & Kashmir as the nation’s leading year-round travel hub.

Accompanied by Advisor Nasir Aslam Wani and key legislators from major tourism circuits like Gulmarg and Pahalgam, the Chief Minister inaugurated the J&K Pavilion, which featured nearly 70 co-exhibitors representing the region’s diverse travel trade.

During a guided walkthrough and extensive interactions with global travel operators, Abdullah emphasized his government’s aggressive strategy to bolster infrastructure, enhance connectivity, and champion sustainable tourism practices.

He highlighted a rapidly evolving portfolio that spans high-octane adventure sports, spiritual pilgrimage circuits, and world-class MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) facilities, inviting international investors and travelers to experience a revitalized and welcoming Union Territory.

The pavilion further captivated visitors with live traditional folk music, serving as a vibrant cultural gateway designed to drive record-breaking tourist footfall and reinforce J&K’s standing on the global tourism map.
