Ganderbal 23 September :- To give a strong push towards development work in the constituency of Ganderbal, the Chief Minister and local legislator, Omar Abdullah, has approved a huge amount of ₹377.10 lakh under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF). The large fund allocation will benefit an array of projects covering important sectors such as health, education, and civic amenities, with the promise of overall improvement to the public facilities in the region.
One of the pillars of this sanction is an exclusive allocation of ₹67 lakh for the purchase of a High-End Ultrasound System for the District Hospital in Ganderbal. This important investment will go a long way in augmenting the diagnostic strength of the medical facility, minimizing the necessity for patients to go to Srinagar to undergo sophisticated tests. The action has been welcomed as a move straight to empowering grassroot healthcare services and improving medical outcomes for the constituents.
In addition to healthcare, the funds approved will be strategically invested in enhancing the overall infrastructure of the constituency. A sizeable chunk is earmarked for education infrastructure, which includes upgrading and building school facilities, creating an environment conducive to learning for students. In addition, the disbursement will meet day-to-day civic requirements by financing projects aimed at building and repairing roads, effective drainage structures, and putting up streetlights, thus enhancing connectivity, public safety, and overall wellbeing of citizens.
The comprehensive character of the development plan also has provisions for upgradation of community facilities. The program highlights the government’s dedication to equitable and balanced growth and enabling development to reach all corners of public life. Sanction of these funds under the CDF by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is being regarded as a fulfillment of his promise to his people, with the intention of fulfilling long-pending demands and establishing a stronger foundation for sustainable development in the Ganderbal constituency.
