City Jammu Police Nab Final Fugitive in Major Case Breakthrough

JAMMU | January 10, 2026In a significant victory for local law enforcement, Police Station City Jammu has successfully apprehended the final absconding suspect linked to FIR No. 01/2025.

The accused, identified as Danish (son of Mohd Riaz, resident of Gujjar Nagar), was captured near Hari Singh Park following a precision operation led by PSI Aaqib Lateef under the supervision of senior Jammu Police officials.

This arrest marks the completion of a high-profile investigation involving charges under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Arms Act, effectively neutralizing a criminal group that had been evading justice.

The breakthrough came after the prior arrest and interrogation of four accomplices, whose statements combined with advanced technical analysis allowed investigators to pinpoint the fugitive’s location.

Following the arrest, police recovered critical evidence, including three sharp-edged weapons (Tokas) and a vehicle (JK02CC-4330) used during the commission of the crime.

With all five suspects now in custody and the weapons of offense recovered, the Jammu Police have strengthened their prosecution’s case, reaffirming their dedication to maintaining public safety and ensuring swift legal action against criminal elements in the region.
