CISF Unit ASG Leh Holds Yoga Session to Mark 100-Day Countdown to International Day of Yoga 2026

LEH, March 17, 2026 — As part of the nationwide 100-day countdown to the International Day of Yoga (IDY) 2026, the Aviation Security Group (ASG) of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) successfully organized a dedicated yoga session at the ASG Leh unit today.

This initiative aims to sensitize personnel and the local community to the transformative power of yoga ahead of the global celebration in June. Practicing yoga in the high-altitude and extreme climatic conditions of Ladakh holds profound significance for security forces, as the ancient discipline is scientifically recognized for enhancing physical endurance, improving oxygen efficiency at thin-air levels, and fortifying mental resilience against the rigors of high-altitude deployment.

The session saw enthusiastic and active participation from all ranks of the CISF personnel, who embraced the various asanas and breathing techniques as essential tools for holistic well-being. By integrating yoga into their daily operational routine, the ASG Leh unit is reinforcing a culture of health and harmony, demonstrating that yoga is not merely an exercise but a sustainable way of life.

The event concluded with a collective pledge to continue these practices, ensuring that the personnel remain physically fit and mentally agile while safeguarding one of the world’s most challenging aviation environments.
