CISF Partners with Ministry of AYUSH to Integrate Yoga and Ayurveda for Personnel Wellness
NEW DELHI, March 19, 2026 – In a landmark move to bolster the physical and mental resilience of its troops, the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of AYUSH to incorporate holistic health practices into the daily routines of its personnel.
This strategic collaboration aims to introduce Yoga, Ayurveda, and other traditional Ayush systems to improve stress management, immunity, and overall lifestyle quality, particularly for those stationed in high-pressure and demanding deployments.
Under the agreement, the Ministry of AYUSH will provide technical expertise and trained professionals to conduct specialized wellness programs, Panchakarma therapies, and regular awareness workshops across various CISF units nationwide.
The partnership also includes the establishment of Ayush Outpatient Department (OPD) services directly within CISF premises, ensuring that personnel have seamless access to preventive healthcare without compromising their operational duties.
To ensure the effective rollout of these health initiatives, a dedicated Joint Working Group will be formed to oversee the implementation and monitor the impact on the force’s operational readiness.
This initiative marks a significant shift toward a more comprehensive welfare model, focusing on long-term health and psychological well-being for the nation’s industrial security frontline.
