CISF IG Motivates Central Volleyball Team in Ranchi Following Silver Medal Win
RANCHI, March 18, 2026 — In a move to bolster the spirit of the force’s elite athletes, Prabodh Chandra, IG/ES (Ranchi), chaired a high-level interaction and motivational session for the CISF Central Volleyball Team at the 2nd Reserved Battalion in Ranchi.
Accompanied by N. Perumallu, DIG/ES HQrs, and several senior officers, the IG engaged with the players on March 17 to inspire them ahead of their upcoming competitive schedule.
The session served as a platform to celebrate the team’s recent athletic prowess, specifically their stellar performance at the 74th All India Police Volleyball Championship held in Trivandrum, where they secured a prestigious Silver Medal.
During the interaction, the leadership emphasized that while technical skill is vital, the core pillars of success remain team spirit, discipline, and perseverance. Shri Prabodh Chandra lauded the players for their “resolute commitment” to the sport and their role as ambassadors of the force.
He urged the team to maintain their momentum and continue striving for excellence to bring further laurels to the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) on the national stage. The session concluded with a focus on future readiness, ensuring the players are mentally and physically prepared to dominate the court in their next series of matches.
