CISF Director General Inaugurates New Integrated Barrack Complex at Cochin Airport

KOCHI, February 22, 2026 — Shri Praveer Ranjan, Director General of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), officially inaugurated a state-of-the-art Integrated Barrack Complex at the Aviation Security Group (ASG) in Cochin, Kerala.

The inauguration ceremony took place in the presence of senior leadership from the CISF and representatives from Cochin International Airport (CIAL). This new facility, spanning 5.26 acres with a built-up area of approximately 1.10 lakh square feet, is designed as a modern green campus featuring sustainable infrastructure such as solar power systems and extensive greenery.

The newly commissioned complex provides centralized accommodation and significantly improved living facilities for 655 CISF personnel stationed at the airport. By consolidating housing and amenities, the project aims to enhance the overall welfare of the force while simultaneously strengthening security infrastructure.

This development is viewed as a strategic step toward boosting the operational preparedness of the ASG Cochin team, ensuring they remain well-rested and ready to handle the critical demands of aviation security.
