LEH, January 29, 2026 — Chief Secretary of the Union Territory of Ladakh, Ashish Kundra, chaired a high-level review meeting to evaluate the progress and technical implementation of the Unified Beneficiary Portal (UBP).
During the session, Administrative Secretary Shashanka Ala delivered a detailed presentation covering the portal’s core components, including the Family ID system, beneficiary registry, and the strategic categorization of residents into silver and gold tiers for streamlined welfare delivery.
The discussions also focused on the Unified Beneficiary Portal Platform (UBPP) and General Ledger Account (GLA) modules, which are designed to enhance financial transparency and tracking for scheme-owning departments.
To maximize citizen convenience and digital accessibility, Kundra issued several key directives aimed at modernizing service delivery. He mandated that all beneficiary-related documents be made accessible via DigiLocker and instructed that the e-Seva platform be integrated with WhatsApp to provide real-time updates and improved outreach.
The meeting, attended by senior officials including L. Franklin, Sanjit Rodrigues, Bhupesh Chaudhary, Bhanu Prabha, Michael M. D’Souza, and Rudra Goud, concluded with a review of the analytics dashboard to ensure scheme owners can manage eligibility and data more efficiently across the Union Territory.
