JAMMU, Jan 29, 2026 — In a major initiative to streamline legal aid and public outreach, Arun Palli, Chief Justice of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh, officially released the Activity Calendar 2026 for the J&K Legal Services Authority (JKLSA) today.
Accompanied by Executive Chairman Sanjeev Kumar and other distinguished High Court judges, the Chief Justice unveiled the wall calendar, which serves as a strategic roadmap for the year’s judicial activities.
The calendar outlines a structured schedule for National and Special Lok Adalats, Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) mechanisms, and targeted legal literacy campaigns designed to benefit marginalized and vulnerable populations.
Chief Justice Arun Palli commended the JKLSA for its dedication to the constitutional mandate of “access to justice,” emphasizing that the 2026 calendar will act as a vital monitoring tool to ensure timely implementation of prisoner legal aid, women’s empowerment initiatives, and cyber law awareness.
By aligning with National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) campaigns, the JKLSA reaffirms its commitment to providing inclusive, effective, and transparent legal services to every citizen across the Union Territory, regardless of their socio-economic status.
