CDS General Anil Chauhan Leads High-Level Defense Delegation to Armenia to Bolster Strategic Security Ties

YEREVAN, February 02, 2026: In a major move to deepen bilateral military cooperation, India’s Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Anil Chauhan, arrived in the Republic of Armenia on February 1st for a high-profile, four-day official visit.

This landmark trip signifies a pivotal step in advancing shared strategic interests and establishing a robust framework for long-term defense and security collaboration between the two nations.

Upon reaching the capital, the Indian delegation was accorded a warm reception by the Ambassador of India to Armenia, Nilakshi Saha Sinha, alongside Major General Temur Shahnazaryan, Deputy Chief of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia.

The visit is expected to involve high-level discussions on defense technology, capacity building, and regional security, further solidifying the growing partnership between New Delhi and Yerevan in an evolving global landscape.
