BSF Opens Fire After Suspected Pakistani Drone Spotted Along Samba International Border

SAMBA, Jan 31: Tension escalated along the Indo-Pak International Border early Saturday morning as Border Security Force (BSF) personnel opened fire on a suspected Pakistani drone detected in the Ghagwal area of Samba district.

According to official sources, the aerial vehicle was observed hovering within Indian territory for several minutes, prompting an immediate tactical response from the alert troops.

The drone reportedly retreated and disappeared back across the border shortly after the firing commenced.While the incident triggered a high-alert status across the sector, authorities have confirmed that there were no reports of casualties or damage to property.

The BSF has intensified surveillance and patrolling in the peripheral areas to thwart any potential smuggling or surveillance attempts via unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

Security agencies remain vigilant as they monitor the border for any further suspicious movement following the intrusion.
