BSF Facilitates Critical Eye Care for Border Residents in Samba as Part of Community Outreach

SAMBA, March 17, 2026 — In a continued effort to support and uplift border communities, the Border Security Force (BSF) has facilitated essential medical assistance for 11 cataract patients residing in the remote villages of the Samba district.

The group of beneficiaries included six individuals from Dug Channi and five from Chak Jawahar, located in the Ramgarh sector. Recognizing the logistical challenges faced by these villagers in accessing specialized healthcare, the BSF deployed its own medical ambulances to transport the patients safely to a higher medical facility for professional consultation and surgical treatment.

This proactive healthcare intervention ensures that senior citizens in these sensitive border zones receive timely vision-restoring care that might otherwise be out of reach.

This humanitarian gesture is a cornerstone of the BSF’s ongoing commitment to fostering strong civil-military relations and strengthening the bond of trust with the people living along the International Border.

By providing life-enhancing services like free medical transport and coordination with specialized hospitals, the “Bordermen” demonstrate that their role extends far beyond physical surveillance to include the holistic well-being of the local population.

Such initiatives play a vital role in ensuring that border residents feel secure and supported, reinforcing the BSF’s identity as a dependable partner in both national security and community development.
