Blood Donation Camp Organized on BSF’s 61st Raising Day

Udhampur 29 November :- The Border Security Force (BSF), India’s first line of defense, celebrated its 61st Raising Day (Diamond Jubilee) by promoting social service and community welfare. As part of the celebrations, a Blood Donation Camp was successfully organized on 29 November 2025 at the Subsidiary Training Institute, Udhampur, in collaboration with GMC Hospital, Udhampur, from 1000 hrs to 1600 hrs. The initiative reflects the BSF’s dedication to social responsibility and its proactive role in supporting local healthcare services.

The camp was inaugurated by Sandeep Channan, Inspector General, STC BSF Udhampur. Distinguished officers and medical professionals present included Hemant Kochar, Commandant; Mahendra Singh, Second-in-Command; Dr. Neelima, Senior Medical Officer/Deputy Commandant; Dr. Lubna Nazir and Dr. Hakib Javed (GMC Hospital, Udhampur).

Their presence added to the significance of the event and ensured smooth management of medical and logistical arrangements.Over 100 BSF personnel participated enthusiastically in the camp. Participants availed themselves of services such as health check-ups, consultations, and blood donation, making a meaningful contribution to saving lives and supporting emergency medical needs.

The camp highlighted the BSF’s social responsibility and commitment to the citizens, while also playing an important role in strengthening local healthcare services.Through this initiative, the BSF demonstrated its dedication to public service, community engagement, and unwavering commitment to the nation, fostering awareness of health, safety, and social responsibility among the citizens.
