Jammu 14 November :- Devyani Rana Candiate of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) won the Nagrota Assembly constituency by-election, securing 42,350 votes in the final round of counting.BJP retains the seat in Jammu district, which fell vacant following the demise of Devinder Singh Rana in October last year.
Harsh Dev Singh former Education Minister J&K and President Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (India) finished second with 17,661 votes, in this triangular contest.
NC candidate, Shamim Begum, a a sitting District Development Council member trailed in third place.
