JAMMU, Jan 3: Senior BJP leadership, led by J&K BJP President and Member of Parliament Sat Sharma (CA) and Leader of Opposition Sunil Sharma, participated in the grand Nagar Kirtan today to celebrate the sacred occasion of the Prakash Gurpurab of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
The leaders joined thousands of devotees in a display of spiritual fervor, performing “Sewa” by serving Langar and paying heartfelt tributes to the tenth Sikh Guru and the glorious Khalsa Panth. Praying for peace and regional harmony, the leaders reaffirmed that the life and teachings of Guru Gobind Singh Ji remain an eternal guiding light for courage, sacrifice, and equality.
Addressing the gathering, Sat Sharma highlighted the creation of the Khalsa as a pivotal moment in history that stood for the protection of Bharat’s integrity and cultural ethos. He also lauded the Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government for its historic initiatives, including the opening of the Kartarpur Corridor, the declaration of Veer Bal Diwas, and the global facilitation of Sikh pilgrimages.
Echoing these sentiments, Sunil Sharma emphasized that the Khalsa Panth is a living symbol of patriotism and justice, inspiring every citizen to stand fearlessly for truth. The event was attended by a host of senior party figures, including Rashpaul Verma, Sanjita Dogra, and MLA Yudhvir Sethi, all of whom joined in the community service to honor the Guru’s message of selfless brotherhood.
