BJP Honors Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee with Inspiring Life & Legacy Exhibition in Jammu
JAMMU, December 27, 2025 — As part of the nationwide “Atal Smriti Varsh” celebrations, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) today inaugurated a comprehensive exhibition at its Trikuta Nagar Headquarters, showcasing the illustrious life, visionary ideas, and monumental contributions of former Prime Minister, Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji.
The event was officially opened by J&K BJP President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma, alongside BJP J&K General Secretary (Org.) Ashok Koul and Lok Sabha MP Jugal Kishore Sharma. Following the inauguration, senior party leaders paid solemn floral tributes to the portrait of the late statesman, reflecting on his enduring impact on Indian democracy.
Speaking at the ceremony, Sat Sharma described Atal Ji as an institution whose leadership steered India through its most challenging periods with unparalleled courage and dignity. He emphasized that Vajpayee Ji’s legacy of firm nationalism and balanced governance remains a cornerstone of Indian politics, a mission now being advanced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi toward a self-reliant and globally respected India. Echoing these sentiments, Ashok Koul highlighted the importance of the “Atal Smriti Varsh” in bringing the values of ethical politics and good governance to the grassroots level, particularly among the youth.
Adding to the tributes, Jugal Kishore Sharma noted that Atal Ji’s life was a unique synthesis of compassionate governance and strategic strength, noting how his vision laid the groundwork for India’s modern infrastructure. The event saw a large gathering of prominent party figures, including J&K BJP Vice-Presidents Bharat Bhushan and Rekha Mahajan, General Secretaries Sanjita Dogra, Baldev Singh Billawaria, and Gopal Mahajan, alongside several MLAs and former legislators, all of whom gathered to honor the poet-politician’s legacy of service to the nation.
