BJP holds ‘Sardar@150’ Ekta Padyatras across Jammu & Kashmir to spread message of Indian Unity and Patriotism

Jammu, 17 November :- Bharatiya Janata Party, Jammu & Kashmir organized Ekta Padyatras across the entire Union Territory as a part of the nationwide commemoration of the 150th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, the Iron Man of India.
These marches aim to take Sardar Patel’s message of unity, integrity, and national cohesion to every corner of society, reinforcing the spirit of patriotism and collective responsibility. The BJP is committed to ensuring that the legacy of Patel’s monumental role in unifying India reaches people at the grassroots, in line with the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
In Jammu District, the Ekta Padyatra began from Chowk Chabutra and concluded at SMGS Hospital, while another route started from Shakti Nagar and ended at Government Medical College, Jammu.
BJP J&K President and Rajya Sabha MP Sat Sharma (CA) led the march and highlighted Sardar Patel’s unmatched contribution to nation-building. He stated that Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel integrated more than 560 princely states and laid the foundation of a united India. He said that Patel’s courage and statesmanship continue to inspire us. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government is determined to take this message of unity and patriotism to every citizen. These padyatras reflect our commitment to strengthening the bond of national unity across the country, he added.
During the march, students of Central Basic School were also administered the oath of a self-reliant India (Aatmanirbhar Bharat), symbolizing the connection between national unity and self-reliance.
Vice President Priya Sethi, State General Secretary Baldev Balouria, Jammu District President Rajesh Gupta, MLA Yudhvir Sethi, MLA Arvind Gupta, District Incharge Brijesh Rana, former Mayor Rajinder Sharma, Ravikant Sharma, Sunil Rena, Kuldeep Kandhari, Ramesh Gupta, Pratibha Sharma, Adarsh Jathiar, Swati Sharma, Anil Angral, Kushant Prajapati, and many others, along with large numbers of BJP workers and local people, participated enthusiastically.
In Jammu South District, another major Padyatra was led from Girls Higher Secondary School Satwari to Shastri Nagar and Gole Market by BJP General Secretary (Organization) Ashok Koul.
Addressing the participants, Ashok Koul said that Sardar Patel’s life represents unwavering nationalism and iron resolve. He said that this Padyatra is our tribute to his legacy and a reaffirmation of our commitment to carry his message to every household. He added that the Modi Government is rightly giving national prominence to Patel’s immense role in unifying India and strengthening its democratic fabric.
J&K BJP Vice Presidents Rajeev Charak and Rekha Mahajan, General Secretary Baldev Singh Ballwaria, MLA Bahu Vikram Randhawa, MLA Dr Narinder Singh and others also joined the South Jammu Yatra.
